These SS LEOs were from DHS' Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). This group was trained to perform as Secret Service operators during a 2-hour Zoom session in which half of the audio was unavailable.
- In the context of the political weaponization of Law Enforcement, among the 75 (others say 150) Secret Service (DHS) and local police LEOs were performing politically neutral, and others were not.
An example is one communication by a local commander searching for agents to assist on the 13th saying, “the Trump thing”
- On the Trump rally site were LEOs from the Secret Service, other DHS agencies pretending to be SS, LEOs from Pennsylvania State Police, various teams like ESU from Butler Co, Beaver Co, Washington Co, and a few FBI agents.
Most of them were in their respective uniforms and some were armed with a gun and communication dressed in plain clothes.
All 75 of them had their specific supervisors.
Butler LEOs had NO chief because Butler Township Department John Hays retired on May 21st and Butler Township Police Department Lt. Matthew Pearson(some think it’s Collins) then faced Crooks in the eye.
- The 75 (150) LEOs were roughly divided into 15 % supervising chiefs and 85 % field operators.
The supervisors were mostly seated in tents and buildings, south of or on the rally site.
- The LEOs were divided into commanders supervising the communications, the field LEOs assisting the entrances with the metal detectors, and rifle-armed LEOs in and around the white tents between the three barns and the white tents prepared for President Trump to get to the stage.
Counter-snipers in various places like the two Hercules 2-member groups (north-2 and south-1) on top of the three barns, looking north and initially just seconds before the shooting south.
There were more counter-sniper teams in the south in various other buildings.
Beaver counter-snipers Woods, Nicol, Murcko, and 3 plain clothes LEOs armed with guns were at the AGR building north of the rally.
Concerning the investigation of the massive failure of the LEOs on July 13th, the field LEOs were in a constant battle to find the SS supervising command because the SS command was hiding after they denied coupling communications with the local police.
Although at 09:00 the Butler Police offered the SS communication sets, the SS decided not to attend the meeting.

Nicol moved through the building trying to shadow Crooks, who was outside, and keep eyes on him. But Nicol lost sight of Crooks as Nicol made his way down to the building's first level.

They squeezed through the fence perimeter coming from Trump’s site after 18:24:00 and headed toward the building where the shots had come from.
"We then ascended that ladder to then meet up with -- what -- we weren't sure again if it was a mass casualty or what we were walking into," said Vasiladiotis-Nicol, who is sniper Gregory Nicol's wife.
"We're prepared for anything at that point," Gianvito said, including a possible firefight because the team had no idea if the rooftop shooter was dead or alive, or if there could be an accomplice still unaccounted for.
On the roof, they found Crooks motionless and face down -- images captured on Gianvito's helmet camera. Crooks' wrists had been quickly bound with white plastic ties, in case he was still alive. A long trail of blood flowed down the sloped roof.

In July, FBI director, Christopher Wray, testified to the House judiciary committee that the shooter appeared to have used a drone at the rally location about two hours before the attack, to scope out an area about 200 yards (182m) from the stage where Trump was scheduled to speak.

The rim top of the roof of building 6 from where Crooks shot at President Trump is not in a 90-degree angle to the left side of President Trump but 45 degrees.
The top of the roof has a 10-inch high rim, and from that rim, there are smaller rims (5 inches) every 2 feet running down at a 90-degree angle to the rim on the top.
For Crooks to hit President Trump he has to lay with the right side of his body on top of one of these smaller rims giving him some elevation to point the barrel/muzzle of his AR-15 OVER the 9-inch top of the roof rim.
This smaller rim allows Crooks to stay away from the top of the roof rim for a yard giving him more stealth for the Hercules counter sniper team south (1) while the Hercules counter sniper team north is behind the trees.
However, Trump is more than 16 yards to the west than the Hercules C-S team south (1), giving extra coverage for Crooks to the C-S team South (1).
